A real fairytale in a green paradise that begins at the Queimadas house. Until reaching the majestic waterfall, the trail is extraordinarily green. Interspersed are magnificent views over the village of São Jorge and the immense mountains. The water is always present during the course. Sprouting from the walls, running serenely along the levada, falling from the sky on rainy days. It is a fantastic and safe trail to be walked at any time of the year. You will find some tunnels along the way, so don’t forget to take a torch and protect your head. When you reach the Caldeirão Verde waterfall, be dazzled by the sweeping view of the huge waterfall plunging into the cool, crystal clear lagoon. Take the opportunity to relax to the sound of the falling water. You can have a picnic before returning. Warning: Access to the lagoon and waterfall is prohibited due to falling stones.
