Areeiro Beach is a small black sandy beach with some pebbles, located in Funchal, about 2 km from Câmara de Lobos. It’s part of the popular ‘Formosa Beach,’ along with Nova Beach, Os Namorados Beach, and Formosa Beach.
You can reach Areeiro Beach by walking along the Formosa Beach promenade. It’s one of the few sandy beaches on the south coast, making it a favorite spot for those who love comfortable sandy shores. Being part of Formosa Beach, it offers all the necessary facilities nearby for a great day by the warm sea of the Archipelago and is just 10 minutes away from the center of Funchal.
